AlCrN coatings, which are characterized by high hardness and good wear resistance, often used for drilling, milling, punching tools. Therefore, the study of behaviour these coatings under cyclic impact loading is essential their optimization. Our previous work has focused on composition microstructure prepared using a cathodic arc deposition system with SCIL® controller that controls average ion energy per deposited atom (Ed).
